Deciding What to Sell - Easy Steps to Branding Yourself

Deciding what to sell online can be a daunting task. But when you break it down, there are only a few easy steps... starting from the first one:

*making the decision of what to sell, to the last one:
*getting your online store up and running!

According to bigcommerce.com
  • 67% of Millennials and 56% of Gen Xers prefer to shop on online rather than in-store.

  • 51% of Americans prefer to shop online

  • 96% of Americans with internet access have made an online purchase in their life, 80% in the past month alone (August 2017)

  • 2 in 5 (40%) online shoppers say they couldn’t live without online shopping.

Yes, we are experiencing a boom in Online shopping. Question is, how does the inexperienced marketer cash-in on this incredible boom?

Solution: Open your own online store!  ~~Perhaps you make jewelry, or you're good at making children's toys, or you're a gifted seamstress. But if you don't already have a product or provide a service that is of value, then consider this:

How to Decide: If you like to cook, maybe you can sell kitchen gadgets, or appliances. If you are concerned about the environment, you could sell organic products, green cleaning products, or harmless pest control products. If you like to fish, you could sell fishing rods and reels, lures, and the like. Get the idea?

The first, and easy thing is
    1. 1. Make a decision, then,
    2. 2. make a commitment. Then,
    3. 3. focus. Then,
    4. 4. keep your focus. Don't lose it. Focus is the key to success.

Someone asked my team-leader how he managed to stay the course in the face of obstacles and struggles, while trying to build an online business. He responded that he was able to maintain focus because he simply loves what he does. It's not tedious, or boring, or a burden.

Although it can be tiring, trying to build a collection of items for a particular niche, providing a product or service of value, and getting the word out, by advertising on as many websites as humanly possible, he absolutely loves the work. He loves posting ads, interacting on social media, marketing, and all the daily tasks that go with online marketing.

So, it's not really difficult to do, because it's enjoyable! And that's just perfect, because building a business is like building anything else: It takes both time and consistent effort.

If you love what you do, maintain

Your Focus.

Once you choose a product or service of value, focus your efforts on that one product or category of products in order to have an effective sales campaign.

Your unique talent, gift or interest +
Your unique product or service =

Now, you're ready to open your Online Store!
